Despite being pretty sore from yesterday, I was determined to make the most of this weekend and was happy Michael decided to go out with me!
Week 1 Day 2 is a 5 minute brisk walk for a warm up, then alternating 1 minute of jogging with 1.5 minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes, then a 5 minute cool down walk. I felt so great after the first 30 minutes that I thought I should combine two days into one, so that is what I did. Day 3 is the same workout as Day 2. Michael walked while I ran ahead and back to him during the one minute jogging parts of the workout, then we walked together for the 1.5 minutes.
We were walking on Soos Creek Trail in Covington/Kent, and just went two miles up the trail, and then two miles back. It was another beautiful day, and a little bit too warm but the shade on the trail made it perfect walking/running conditions. The trail reminded us of Feralas in World of Warcraft!
