August 7, 2012: It is not quite as hot, but still hot enough that running outside is exhausting so I got up really early to do this one. I actually did an experiment and just blew through most of the walk prompts to see if I could do it – and I pretty much did – yay! I slowed to a “wog” a few times but never actually walked 🙂 I started using another app called Jog Log with my iPhone because it tracks more stats. I don’t understand why the two apps have different results when I am using them both on the same phone …
August 8, 2012: I did this run after my physical therapy appointment this afternoon, and basically was able to do the same thing as yesterday with blowing through the walk prompts. I am stunned that this is even possible, and surprised that it really isn’t even that difficult. There is something I never thought I would say prior to today!!
August 9, 2012: I did this day 3 workout in the morning before work because I have an appointment later this afternoon at Southcenter. Third time is a charm because today was just like yesterday and the day before, running 2.3 miles non-stop. I’m not going to win any races at this pace, but I am only competing against my prior self and this is the absolute best week I have had with running ever. I feel like I can actually do the 5K without humiliation. It also makes the diet so much easier for me to follow when I am making so much progress with my workouts. I wish the running would help my shoulder to stop hurting, but that is a whole other problem! One thing at a time!
Three days in a row of running non-stop for about a half hour going about 2.3 miles each day. That is a substantially epic milestone!! I am feeling better about promoting the fundraising for the 5K 🙂
